Update from Singy (its long...but READ IT ) hahah

Sooo, I was getting a bit jealous of everyone's "read my blog" status(es) or status(i) on facebook. First, I thought to myself, why not just give a link to Synthia's blog, because I am with her a lot. Then people can just learn about what I do, or rather what Syn does and hope I was with her for it. The outcome of this long battle between writing my very own blog and stealing Syn's of course ended in me typing, right here, right now!

So, since I haven't written anything since I have been in Singapore, except papers, I am going to give you all a brief update of my times here....

Got here kind of late....August 1stish/July 31stish....met my roommate, Maggie...who immediately introduced me to Synthia and Asa. Syn is from Caliiii and Asa from Sweden. I soon met a lot of other interesting characters. My closest buddds are from Americaaaa, Sweden, France and Missouri (we all know thats not the continental uNited states)...so anyhow, I learned quickly the following things :singaporean students study A LOT, and are very competitive, clubs here are SO fun, there are amazing people in the city/country of Singapore who are great to party and hang out with, the climate here is amazing, travelling thru SE Asia is the BEST, computer files should be backed up, and ping pong shows do NOT have paddles!!!

To expound upon my travelling bit, since i have been here I have gone to 1) kuala lumpur, malaysia-stayed in my first hostel....quite an experience...especially the great feeling i got waking up and asking the prostitutes outside for directions...hahaha
2)bintan, indonesia...beautiful people and place, we stayed in bungalows over the ocean....that was kind of cool but this hater rain wouldnt step off my jock all wknd....and the best of all, thus far...
3) THAILAND!!!!!I freaking LOVE thailand, its pretty much the happiest place on earth, and to quote that famous t shirt ppl kept trying to sell us" The land of smile" hahaha! the people there were so chill, and laid back. everyone just seemed to be enjoying life, and trying to hustle a few tourists along the way....there is shopping EVERYWHERE in thailand, even when u dont want it! hahaha! we bought soooo many things....and took THAI COOKING CLASS!!! so now, you can pretty much call me a cook! we saw BEAUTIFUL buddhist temples, made lots of friends, ELEPHANTS in the street chilling------------------------------->

experienced nature....and this was only in Bangkok...then we headed to the airport to fly to phuket!!! which was a trillion times better than bangkok, making it, ummmm 8 steps down from heaven (minus all the prostitutes everywhere!) soooo phuket was awesome! the beach=most beautifult thing, ever, in life!

so basically it was great! we found this awesome place that had GOOD thai tacos (tasted mexican to me, but the sign said thai taco, so im not gonna argue, haha!).


..and we took a day trip to Ko Phi Phi, where the movie The Beach was filmed. IT WAS SO PRETTY! and we got lost and almost missed our boat back to phuket....hahaha we had to jump onto the moving boat, and i had to put my popcicle down :( boo that...lol! but yay for not being stuck on an island! we went snorkeling and i almost had a heart attack/drowned when some cute little fish came near me! lol but all in all, thailand loves me, and i love thailand

back in singapore...
I have been having an amazing time in my classes and travelling. Lately I have been doing the whole law school app thing, and trying to figure out my future! i just cant imagine being still! Kuwait, last summer was great, but I am just nervous at the thought of working like for more than a summer overseas, even though I LOVE being away!

Another recent activity has been getting my academic self together, as it is the end of the semester here in Singyland ahhhh! im pretty darn nervous I must say....but SO excited to get home, see my family, love and friends, get done with the LSAT, and celebrate my 21st for weeks and weeks and weeks with ERK!!!
